Piccolino leads Cornwall to shutout victory over Kemptville

Jordan Piccolino made 32 saves to complete the shutout and led the Cornwall Colts to a 3-0 win against the Kemptville 73s.

Cornwall was led by Tanner Spink, who racked up one goal and one assist. Spink scored on the power play 4:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cornwall. The Colts had gotten the advantage when Kemptville's Quinn Wichers was sent off for interference. Jay DAmour assisted on the tally.

Cornwall stifled the 73s' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Colts' defensive play was more effective than usual against Kemptville. Cornwall gives up 2.4 goals on average per game. The Colts' offense rang up 34 shots on the 73s' net.

Cornwall additionally got points from Billy Ulrick, who also registered one goal and one assist and Kenny Nelson, who also finished with one goal and one assist.

Kemptville's offense operated below it season average. The 73s average 3.0 goals per game. Kemptville's offense rang up 32 shots on Cornwall's net.

The Colts incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Jacob Tugnutt made 31 saves for the 73s on 34 shots. Kemptville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
