Oct 06, 2008
Toronto, ON – Pointstreak.com Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of Rakonza.com, an electronic scoring application designed for the sport of baseball. The application was developed and operated by Stephen Rakonza who has joined Pointstreak as a member of its technology team. Rakonza.com provides baseball teams and leagues with an electronic scoring application, developed with the traditional baseball score sheet in mind, providing users with an electronic medium to record baseball scoring statistics. The application will be available to users through various hardware options, including PC/laptop applications, tablet PC applications, handheld devices as well as the iPhone and Blackberry devices.
Scott Secord, Pointstreak’s President/CEO commented, "We are extremely pleased to be adding a baseball scoring application to our existing sports platforms. During our research of potential baseball platforms we realized the importance of offering an electronic scoring application that mirrored that of the traditional baseball paper-based score sheet. Rakonza.com was developed with this ideal in mind and we believe the application will provide the power combination of advanced technology with a traditional scoring approach.”
Pointstreak has assumed all business activities of Rakonza.com and will begin immediately with the development of a more refined and complete application providing not only a front-end scoring application but the complete line of Pointstreak related technologies including statistical databasing, real-time delivery, team/league administrative tools, online registration and payment processing as well as the integration of our web-based content management system. Pointstreak expects to have a fully functioning application available to baseball teams, leagues and associations by March 2009.
