Midwest Elite Hockey League Chooses Pointstreak

October 8th , 2004

( Detroit , MI ) The Midwest Elite Hockey League (MWEHL), in conjunction with and Cardinal Sports Management Inc., is proud to announce the recent three year agreement reached between the companies in which the MWEHL will implement Pointstreak's real-time scoring and league administration system beginning in the 2004/2005 hockey season.

The MWEHL will be using Pointstreak Plus, Pointstreak's real-time scoring and league administrative system for leading amateur and recreational hockey organizations. The core of Pointstreak's system is the electronic gamesheet system, which essentially replaces paper gamesheets with touch-screen terminals at each arena in which the league competes.

Scorekeepers then use Pointstreak's easy-to-use, touch-screen terminals to collect game and statistical information while the hockey game is in progress. Game results, as well as league-wide standings and player stats, are sent to the Internet via in real-time for players, parents, coaches and fans to view. Besides eliminating the data-entry of paper gamesheets, Pointstreak's system also uses powerful web-based, database-driven software to streamline and automate many aspects of league operations, allowing league management and volunteers to focus on more important tasks.

We're very pleased that the MWEHL is taking a leadership position by adopting the use of Pointstreak's real-time scoring and league administration system said Pointstreak President & CEO, Scott Secord, Our technical excellence combined with the MWEHL's on-ice excellence will help to set the standard for other hockey organizations throughout the country.

The Midwest Elite Hockey League continuously strives to enhance the overall experience of the players, families, coaches, referees and volunteers. This association with Pointstreak and Cardinal Sports Management will ensure that all our participants receive the most innovative and qualified services.
