Pointstreak Named Official Central Hockey League Statistics Service

The Central Hockey League has announced finalization of an agreement with Pointstreak.com which will see the Vancouver firm partner with the CHL to maintain and administer all official league statistics. In addition, Pointstreak's system will provide numerous benefits to CHL fans, most notably the use of real-time scoring which will allow fans to access immediate and up-to-date game information via www.centralhockeyleague.com.
Pointstreak uses wireless, touch-screen terminals to collect statistical information during games and then uses the Internet to immediately display this information on any computer in the world. For the CHL, Pointstreak's system will be broadcasting all CHL game statistics in true real-time for media, fans, players and league administrators to view.

The 2002/2003 Central Hockey League season is slated to begin Thursday,
October 17th, and concludes Sunday, March 16th of 2003. Each CHL club
will play a 64 game schedule this season, totaling 512 regular season
contests. The CHL enjoyed a 16% attendance increase during the 2001/2002
regular season, and led all North American minor professional circuits
with a per game average attendance of 4,356 in post-season play.
